Katanas. $15. And some things I can't tell you in the event that some of you may be coming here next year. Dana, if you've read mom's mail, don't tell; I want my fun! Booing Raiders fans which become cheering fans and have friendly restroom conversion with the band. The Bears and Beavs Bones getting together for root beer floats. Hitting the same rest stops we hit two years ago with the ol' Tualatin band. This is what my weekend was.

There was some bad, but it was the entertaining sort of bad. Like getting stuck next to the restroom on the bus, and staging commando raids with air fresheners. Or losing my pants to someone else and wearing pants about half a foot too short. And returning here at 3 AM this morning- at which time my roomy actually was asleep. With a Beer Count of 9 on our whiteboard. Harumph.

So much coolness. We had a 3-way chickenfight in the pool, multiple free meals, and a $40 stipend. I saw many movies and episodes of Saturday Night Live which I had been depraved of only days before. The drum majors and other band leaders could not help but be psyched by the presence of katanas on the bus (styled after those of Bill and I think Beatrice from Kill Bill, no less). The next time I see a China Town, I so need to get either a katana or a wakizashi. And, of course, meeting new people/ figuring out the names of the people I've been hanging with for the past few weeks. And watching the agonizing cruelty of Aunt Jemima.

And after all that, my math teacher cancelled class, my theatre teacher let us out early, and I have time to actually do my laundry before I have to subject things to the sniff test. Also, we have found trash bags, so my room will no longer smell of soy sauce.

Note: I will try to return soon- basically hitching a ride onto David. Woo-hoo! And give Dana a Happy Birthday for me!
